Laxdæla ch. 5 independently establishes his genealogy ("Thorgrim, father of Snori the Priest"). Grettis saga narrates his death near its own chronological endpoint ("In the spring died Snorri the Godi"), consistent with a single long-lived figure appearing across sagas covering overlapping decades.
